Summary on Grant Application Form
The workshop aims to stimulate research into reversible equivariant Hamiltonian and non-Hamiltonian dynamical systems. In December 1996, a first workshop on Time-Reversal Symmetry in Dynamical Systems was held at the University of Warwick. The proposed meeting will review the development of the field and is expected to provide direction and stimulus for further research efforts. A focus point in the workshop will be the bifurcation theory for reversible equivariant Hamiltonian and non-Hamiltonian dynamical systems, but also other topics will be addressed such as differences between Hamiltonian and reversible non-Hamiltonian non-holonomic mechanical systems, and homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits.
