Summary on Grant Application Form
(See umbrella document for preceding and following work packages)WP3: The results from the SI modelling work will be validated using engine dynamometer tests at Oxford Brookes University (OBU). OBU has a computer-controlled engine dynamometer. Some enhancement to the dynamometer will be required to extend its emissions-measuring capabilities for hydrocarbons and particulates,. It is already capable of measuring NOx, CO, C02. The dynamometer is capable of running a number of different test cycles, including urban and motorway. Daewoo will supply OBU with a number of engines, including a large and a small petrol engine. OBU will be assisted by Dr. D. Taylor (ex MD of Ricardo Group) in planning and undertaking the dynamometer trials.
