Summary on Grant Application Form
The ojectives stated above provide the proposed contribution by the visiting Fellow. The first task will require him to advise on details of design and components for a new instrument to be built at Imperial College with the particular purpose of measuring wake votices from wing models in a small wind tunnel. This task will involve discussion, practical design and consideration of the related wind tunnel requirements plus simple flows for initial tests. The second task will involveDr. Meyers in assisting with measurements in the Imperial College tunnel so as to optimise the system as quickly as possible. The third task will be similar to the second but in the environment of the 13x9 foot wind tunnel at DERA Bedford where we expect to have to make modifications to optical, signal processing systems and to the generation of seeding particles.
