Summary on Grant Application Form |
The deregulation of electricity industry and the resulting open access to transmission services aim to allow for more competition while imposing requirements for more efficient and flexible power system operation and control. New strategies of power system control including control optimisation are needed. The project will address this problem by developing analytical concepts and new methods and algorithms for optimally coordinating multiple and multi-purpose control devices focusing on enhancing system transfer capability and security. The work is intended to provide technical foundations and software tools, which could be further exploited in daily system operation or in an energy marketplace.Key words describing areas of proposal.Power systems control, Stability analysis, Non linear systems mathematics
