|
This grant application is for the replacement of the damaged power supply. This will enable existing EPSRC programmes to be completed on time. One of the programmes (GR/M08363 of six months duration) is nearing its completion and few measurements still need to be carried out. Use of a 50 kilovolts supply is available in the interim period but this supply will allow a very limited part of the programme to be completed. New power supply will also restore full potential of the accelerator for future proposals.
