Summary on Grant Application Form
The programme concentrates on three areas in algebraic topology where the algebra of Grothendieck's local cohomology plays an important part:(i) cohomology of groups(ii) chromatic stable homotopy theory and (iii) equivariant topologyIn each of the three areas, the proposal is to exploit structural results about the calculation duality, finiteness, vanishing and size of local cohomology modules. An intermediate step identifies implications of these features for local homology.
