Summary on Grant Application Form
To purchase and develop software for multi-channel CCD detectors located at the exit plane of dispersive monochromators. To perform flagship experiments as described in the Objectives. This detector will then be able to record dispersed emission spectra in the range 60-700 nm, following photoexcitation of species either in the gas phase, in clusters, or in the solid state by tunable vacuum-UV or soft-Xray radiation from the Daresbury SRS. At the end of the two-year grant, the detectors will be available for both internal and external users of the SRS, via the normal channels.
