Summary on Grant Application Form
Together with Prof. Iordanskii, we shall use the combination of the sigma-model approach and diagrammatic Hartree-Fock methods to study the ferromagnetic quantum Hall effect liquid at odd-integer filling factors. This will help us to understand the form of the ground state, low-energy excitation spectra, and transport properties of weakly disordered 2D electron liquid in semiconductor heterostructures and quantum wells with reduced value of the Lande factor. We shall also study the dynamics of polarisation transitions and domain structure of quantum Hall liquids in 2D electron systems in tilted magnetic fields.
