Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposal seeks to bring together the surface chemistry competence and earlier research grant findings (GR/H 95174) of Greenwich with the physical soil washing capability and expertise of Nottingham. The focus of the project is the evaluation of proposed ex-situ and in-situ remediation strategies using aqueous poloxamer solutions on authentic weathered coal tar contaminated soil samples which are likely to contain a heterogeneous mixture of materials which can provide important components of surface and groundwater pollution.
