Summary on Grant Application Form
Vortex dynamics will be studied by use of computer simulations of one, two and three dimensional models. The points of main interest are: 1) The structure of magnetisation loops. 2) Vortex creep, relationship between creep rates and the nature of the vortex motion. 3) Creep at vanishing temperature. 4) The spatio-temperal structure of vortex avalanches. The simulations results will be carefully compared to experimental results.
