The project will propose guidelines and methodology for efficient measurements to be carried out at a high-voltage buses in the power system in order to determine aggregate, generic load models for stability studies. The simulated aggregate load responses to small and large disturbances will be analysed and parameter identification technique will be used to determine the appropriate type of the load model for different load classes. The influence of non-ideal characteristics and responses of power system elements will be taken into account. Software will be written for direct application of the developed techniques for parameter identification within the Fault Level Monitor (FLM) developed by EA Technology. Equipped with a load identification module, the FLM will become an efficient tool for load parameter identification, and it will be used for measurements in a realistic power system. The developed aggregate, generic load models will be incorporated in the power system simulation package and stability analysis will be performed on a realistic power system to investigate the influence of loads. The influence of the interaction between dynamic loads and power system control devices on system stability will be investigated in detail
