It is proposed to create a multidisciplinary network in the field of powder metallurgy consisting of academia, industry, research organisations and a trade association. The network will consist of members with backgrounds in powder processing, compaction and sinter modelling, sintering practice and end user applications. The purpose will both provide a critical mass of expertise to define new research areas, support the substantial UK industrial base and to interface with complimentary European Networks, Powder Metallurgy, Processing , Process Modelling.
