Summary on Grant Application Form
To assess the applications of space-time array processing techniques and in particular identify the appropriate algorithms for the layered space-time processing receiver and space-time signal coding for useIn next generation systems (PCS). We also intend to investigate how such techniques can be applied to exsisting 2nd and 3rd generation cellular standards. We specifically aim to investigate flat fading channels as well as frequency selective channels and for both these channel types, apply space-time coding and select appropriate signal processing algorithms for controlling the processor. Further, we will address overall systems issues with the above array processor designs
