The aim of the research is to develop mixed conducting oxide membranes for hydrogen recovery and for methane coupling. For the development state various mixed oxide formulations will be tested for hydrogen permeation. Those with optimum permeation for hydrogen will then be used measurement of methane coupling. Finally, to achieve higher fluxes, mixed oxides will be deposited as thin layers on porous supports by various methods and testing of these supported membranes for hydrogen permeation and methane coupling will be carried out.
