Summary on Grant Application Form
Periodic systems provide an important class of systems with applications in a munber of fields such as rotating asymmetric systems. Theoretically, linear periodic systems lie between time-invariant systems and general time varying systems. Recent advances in 'time-lifting' enable time-invariant techniques such as frequency responses and algebraic Ricotti equations to be adapted to the peroidic case with both conceptual and computational advantage. The project will expoit these advances and develop then further to provide general tools for the robust control of periodic systems.
