Summary on Grant Application Form
We will bring together the premier academic an industrial organisations who use researching and developing optimisation techniques in the UK. we will also draw in and work with major EU and other international organisations that are developing optimization techniques. We will identify academic research and link it with industrial requirements both in the UK and internationally. We will seek to develop a collaborative 'optimization' research-industry organisation that will not only be a centre of excellence, but a center leading optimization research with an academic basis, with the ability to transfer to industry their engineering design optimization software requirements. At the present time a number on institutions and companies are working individually. The network will bring them together.
