Summary on Grant Application Form
This proposal is to provide an automated NMR system which will provide a high through put routine service for all the experimental research groups in the chemistry department at Sheffield, particularly those involved in the preparation of new compounds and the development of new reactions. The system will use a robotic autosampler in conjunction with a 250 Mhz spectrometer. In addition, we propose to distribute the large amounts of datagenerated by the spectro meter through out the department using a file server and networking software which will be developed in collaboration with Bruker. This will allow a very high through put of samples and yet enable research workers to spend time analysing their data by using an existing network of remote terminals.
