The work will study the hydrodynamics and magnetic forces involved in the TVMS process using a small cell and a high speed video camera with image analysis software. The theoretical work will use a SUN work station with magnetic and hydrodynamic software packages. The aim is to produce optimized designs for the TVMS matrix arrays. This will be applied to the treatment of synthetic diamonds and kaolin clay.
