|
It is proposed to set up a consortium of industrial companies to investigate the use of twin roll castings for the production of sheet based metal in a wide variety of materials. The materials to be investigate include zinc based superplastic alloys, certain ferrous and copper based alloys. Other work includes an investigation of lubrication and parting agents, grain refining and downstream use of aluminium alloys down stream evaluation of the twin roll cast material will take place with the consortium.
