Summary on Grant Application Form
A wide range of extended inorganic arrays will be synthesised and structurally characterised. These will be based upon metal co-ordination complexes of ambidentate and/or polydentate ligands designed to give stacked, layered or interpenetrating structures. Variations of bridging ligand, metal ion, metal fragment, counter-anion, reaction solvent and conditions, and additional template reagents will be monitored and related to the structures obtained.
