Summary on Grant Application Form
Often business processes are defined and operated but the maintenance of them is not systematic in nature, therefore through time the process becomes unreliable. As an alternative to the above breakdown maintenance strategy the proposed research will investigate the feasibility of the use of active monitoring systems to monitor key inputs to business processes to give early warning of deterioration of the inputs that could lead to undesirable outputs if corrective action is not taken. The overall reliability of the business process can be maintained in this way without theneed for resource to be diverted from business objectives.
