Summary on Grant Application Form
We are proposing a novel Call Admission Control Algorithm and Channel Access Policy for Multimedia CDMA-based cellular mobile communications. The combination of these with our novel access technique called by us Two-Carrier OFDM/OC-CDMA would make CDMA a potential candidate for multimedia multirate mobile communications. The advantages gained by appropriately designing these techniques together would be enormous in terms of system implementation and complexity, high system capacity, flexible system management, stable QoS for the services, and stable GoS for different types of services and call types, more robustness to multipath fading than conventional CDMA approach. The main trust of our research here, would be on call admission control algorithm and channel access policy and evaluation and optimisation of the system performance.
