Summary on Grant Application Form
We propose theoretical study of domain structures formed during macro-/microphase separation in homopolymer and block-copolymer blends. Both weakly-segregated and strongly-segregated structures will be considered using Landu-Ginzburg and quasi-classical approaches. The investigation will be focused on intermediate and late stages of the domain growth and ordering in a superlattice and the formation and evolution of various structures. We will work with both general and polymer-specific effects such as long-range interactions. The work may underpin future molecular design technologies for high-performance 2-phase polymeric materials.
