Summary on Grant Application Form
The SMARTFIRE project is part of the research programme in fire modelling, CFD and AI at the University of Greenwich. More specifically, work on this project has been under way for 5 years, part of which has been funded by the home office to develop a software environment which enables the fire safety engineers to efficiently harness the power of fire field modelling. This application is an extension of this research which aims to consolidate and extend the capabilities of the pilot software into areas of complex building structures, develop its role as a learning device, and introduce additional novel CFD functionality and perform further testing and validation of the software through third party use.
