Summary on Grant Application Form
This proposal describes a program directed towards the investigation of the kinetics and mechanisms of a number of important heterogeneous solid state reactions. We wish to exploit our recent developments using time-resolved, in situ, energy dispersive X-ray diffraction to study the kinetics of crystallisation during hydrothermal, solvothermal and flux/melt reactions. By combining this information with other complementary in-situ techniques such as in situ SAXS and multinuclear NMR, we hope to build up a comprehensive picture of the organic solid.
