Summary on Grant Application Form
Ferroalloys are relatively cheap sources of valuable elements but, using existing technology, it is difficult to separate the valuable elements from the iron. It is proposed to examine a novel technique where nitriding, boriding, aluminiding are carried out in-situ in the ferroalloy and the product separated from the iron.
