Summary on Grant Application Form
The dynamic dynamometer will be installed with comprehensive instrumentation and control facilities. It will then underpin the Department's research activity in internal combustion engine modelling and advanced control. Such studies will also form the basis of future funding applications. The application of advanced control for improved transient behaviour will lead to reduced emissions and enhanced drivability. Keywords: Advanced control; Combustion engine modelling; Transient conditions; Emissions.
