Summary on Grant Application Form
Description and matching of surfaces and volumes, in the context of early detection of breast cancer. Recent work by the proposers has shown how to compute a surface representation of anatomy from x-ray mammograms. We are also developing (3D) breast MR. There is a need to describe and match such surfaces and volumes for the same patient over time, across views, and for different patients. We aim to integrate x-ray and MR.
