Summary on Grant Application Form
There are several impurities in molten metals which cannot be measured using conventional methods, based on solid electrolytes. This research investigates a completely novel method based upon voltammetry which should allow elements such as phosphorous, arsenic, antimony, sulphur and oxygen to be measured using a single sensor.
