Summary on Grant Application Form
This application concerns address two novel experiments in partially premixed combustion. The first seeks to identify whether the so-called 'triple-flame' exist in the ignition of partially premixed mixtures with practical levels of turbulence and fuel-air un-mixedness. The second concerns the structure of partially premixed sooting flames and the use of counter-flow marginally sooting 'triple-flame' to study soot formation and soot oxidation.
