This proposal aims to develop the application of time-resolved IR spectroscopy to a wide range of organic photochemistry, particularly excited states, azide and photopolymerisation. Our approach is new, involving the incorporation of a dedicated FTIR interferometer and linking transient spectroscopy to hyphenated analytical techniques for product speciation. This proposal is based on 206 k recent funding over 2 years from Thomas Swan & Co Ltd for the development of clean organic reactions in supercritical fluids.
