Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposed work involves the completion of a total synthesis of the biologically active marine metabolite Ptilomycalin A. The method of synthesis uses a novel and truly biomimetic approach developed previously by the applicants research group. The proposal also details the development of this methodology and its application to other guanidine containing natural products.
