Summary on Grant Application Form
The performance and the operating cost of an aircraft is heavily influenced by its aerodynamic properties and manufacturing costs. The interrelationship between the aerodynamics performance, cost of manufacturing the aircraft nacelles will be studied using computational and experimental means. A multi-disciplinary design process to optimise manufacturing tolerances of aircraft to reduce life cycle will be investigated.
