The semiconductor laser physics programme will be conducted at FELIX by 6 university groups under the overall coordination of Professor C R Pidgeon (Heriot-Watt University) along the following research strands (see Case for Support Part 3 - Diagrammatic Project Plan):1. Nonlinear subband excitation of LDS; 2. Nonlinear interband dynamics of NGS; 3. Devices. 4. Photon assisted resonant tunnelling studies; 5. Saturation and pump-probe cyclotron resonance.
