Summary on Grant Application Form
This project is an experimental study of chemical scale inhibitor for application in HP/HT reservoirs. Equipment (2 cells) will be designed and built to test inhibitors for inhibition efficiency, calcium capability, through stability and bulk adsorption at HP/HT conditions (200c and 15,000 psi). An assessment of some mineralogical aspects of formation damage will also be made in the adsorption measurements. Results will be used to make a series of recomendations on scale inhibitor selection and improvement to both the oil industry and , more importantly, the chemical supply industry who serve them.
