Summary on Grant Application Form
As a result of improvements in technology and demand for operation at higher frequency, there is a need for better information about high frequency semiconductor devices. Transistors operating at microwave and millimetre-wave frequencies will be characterised under large-signal pule conditions. The objective is to provide models which include breakdown, large signal performance and power limitations for devices and which will facilitate the rigorous design of solid-state power amplifiers at frequencies up to 110 GHz.
