Summary on Grant Application Form
This project involves one-pot syntheses of novel hyperbranched polymers in free radical polymerisation. The starting materials are either accessible or even commercially available. Due to their unusual architecture, dendritic macromolecules are considered as potential enzyme mimics, rheology modifiers, miceller microreactors, homogeneous catalysts, drug carriers etc. Easy access to hyperbranched polymers is therefore of considerable industrial interest.
