Summary on Grant Application Form |
Multicomponent palladium catalysed cascade process with minimum or zero waste ( high or total \tom economy), employing a starter species, 1-n relay switch components, and a capping reagent, will be developed. The relative rates of incorperation of relay switch components will be ascertained. Initiation procedures (oxidative-addition, HPdX addition to akynes, ho) will be developed and the scope of the capping reagents explored. The new process will be applied to formation of all ring motifs (fused, spiro, bridged), relevant to chemical industry, and chiral induction studied.
