Summary on Grant Application Form
The objective of this proposed work is to develop non-linear computer codes to use as diagnostic aids and theoretical tools for the Z-pinch programme at Imperial College. Both the non-linear fluid and kinetic work are already being supported by the EPSRC (grant Refs GR/J83697 and GR/K38830 respectively) in the form of salaries. The computer resources requested here are to enable both codes to be developed and used on a realistic timescale, ie less than two years.
