Summary on Grant Application Form
Bryostatins are important natural products in phase 2 clinical trials for the treatment of cancers including lymphomas, melanomas, ovarian and renal cancers. It is proposed to synthesize these compounds using novel methodology based on our recently discovered procedures for remote asymmetric induction. This will test our chemical methodology in a complex system and make analygues of the bryostatins available for biological evaluation.
