1. To provide resources for ion implantation, ion beam analysis, processing and measurement of samples for approved holders of EPSRC grants and authorised industrial groups; these resources include the staff whosse expertise is used in collaboration with grant holders to enable them to achieve their objectives efficiently.2. To develop equipment within the Facility and to install new equipment in order to broaden the scope of the work undertaken, improve the quality and effectiveness of the work and to support new research and development projects.3. To develop expertise and carry out research in both new and continuing areas which are relevant to microelectronics and optoelectronics.
