Summary on Grant Application Form |
The primary objectives relating to the St Andrews components of the SCIOS project relate to the development of versatile and efficient laser sources that are designed to be compatible to powering/clocking optical logic arrays. To accomplish this, innovative approaches will be explored which will require new avenues in the science and technology of laser sources to be addressed. In particular, the emphases will be placed upon holosteric vibronic laser and semiconductor diode laser systems.
