Summary on Grant Application Form
Provide the engineer with a more cost efficient means of identifying those design parameters which make the product performance sensitive to variabilities in manufacturing and environmental conditions, and provide guidance on the design parameter values for a robust design.Demonstrate the approach within an industrial environment.Develop plans to allow for constraints on the design parameters and sequences of experiments.Show the desirability of using this methodology earlier in the design process.Present the methodology developed in a form that makes it applicable to a wide range of mechanical engineering design problems.
