Summary on Grant Application Form
To perform a range of in situ studies of heterogeneous catalysis, including:1.To determine the chemistry and structure of rhenium and to explore the possibility of Pt/Re alloy formation, in alumina supported catalysts for gasoline reforming. To establish how these materials are changed by exposure to thiophene and hydrocarbons. 2.To study the environment of metal cations in zeolite matrices acting as redox catalysts, in particular for CO and hydrogen oxidation.3.To study the structure of the monolayer in WO3/TiO2 catalysts for the selective reduction of stack gases by ammonia.
