Summary on Grant Application Form
1. Quantify the relationship between the characteristics scale of an obstacle and the turbulent explosion mass burning rate downstream of the obstacle, and explore the implications in explosion scaling. 2. Investigate the dependence of the explosion enhancement downstream of an obstacle on the laminar burning velocity and the Lewis number of the mixture and on obstacle characteristics such as the blockage ratio, pressure loss cosefficient, and the obstacle edge geometry.
