1. Design, synthesis and evaluation of novel mediators for asymmetric oxidation of sulphides to sulphoxides and asymmetric epoxidation using hydrogen peroxide.2. Quantitative mechanistic studies on these mediators and on the competing Radziszewski-type oxidation of hydrogen peroxide.3. Establishment of a framework for conditions for optimal enantioselection.
