Summary on Grant Application Form
To develop D.C. transport Ic(B,T) measurements in pulsed fields for technical superconductors. To compare these with steady field measurements to 20 T.To characterise HTS and Chevrel phase materials up to 60 T at a range of temperatures. To find correlations such that Ic (pulsed) can be used to predict Ic (steady) for superconducting magnets >20 T.
