Summary on Grant Application Form
1. To apply polarised ultra-soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy using simultaneous electron and fluorescence yield detection to examine the surface structure and melting at molecular interfaces.2. To develop a new environmental analysis chamber suitable for measurements on organic surfaces operating under realistic thermodynamic conditions.3. To extend measurements so that O and N K-edge spectra can be measured effectively in fluorescence yield mode and using specular reflectivity techniques.
