|
This application is concerned with a continuing programme for the production, characterisation and physical measurement of magnetic layers and superlattices grown by MBE. The current proposal contains a number of interrelated objectives including the development of growth techniques involving the use of novel substrates and surfactants. These growth studies are an essential prerequisite to the programme of research on the magnetic properties which include: (a) further studies of our current in house programme on spin-dependent electron transport; (b) a detailed study of exchange coupling and magnetic anisotropy in magnetic multilayers.
