To investigate the role of heteroatom nitrogen compounds in coke formation on hydrotreating catalysts in order to describe th deactivation process during hydrotreating of nitrogen containing feedstocks. To establish predictive methods for combined poisoning, coking, pore blockage and diffusional restriction inherent in this process. The project is an integrated computer modelling and experimental study and involves collaboration between Salford University and Imperial College.
